Replacing the I/O Board

Procedure

1Slide the I/O-board cable into the connector on the I/O board and press down the latch to secure it.

2Turn the I/O board over and align the screw holes on the I/O board with the screw holes on the computer base.

3Replace the screw that secures the I/O board to the computer base.

Post-requisites

1Replace the palm rest.

2Replace the keyboard.

3Follow the procedures from step 4 to step 5 in replacing the optical drive.

4Follow the procedures from step 3 to step 5 in replacing the hard drive.

5Replace the base cover.

6Replace the battery.
