Replacing the Display
Assembly

Procedure
NOTE: These instructions are applicable only for laptops with a non- touchscreen display.
1Place the display assembly on the computer base and align the screw holes on the display assembly with the screw holes on the computer base.
2Replace the screws that secure the display assembly to the computer base.
3Route the antenna cables through the routing guides on the computer base.
4Adhere the display cable to the fan.
5Connect the display cable to the system board.
6Adhere the tape that secures the display cable to the system board.
7Close the display and turn the computer over.
8Insert the antenna cables through the slot on the computer base.
9Route the antenna cables on the computer base.
10Connect the antenna cables to the wireless card.
Post-requisites
1Replace the palm rest.
2Replace the keyboard.
3Follow the procedure from step 4 to step 5 in replacing the optical drive.
4Follow the procedure from step 3 to step 5 in replacing the hard drive.
5Replace the base cover.
