Removing the I/O port card

NOTE: You may need to install Adobe® Flash® Player from Adobe.com in order to view the illustrations below.

1.Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.

2.Remove the ATG port cover (applicable on E6410 ATG computer only).

3.Remove the battery.

4.Remove the optical drive.

5.Remove the hard drive.

6.Remove the hinge covers.

7.Remove the access panel.

8.Remove the coin-cell battery.

9.Remove the Heat Sink and Processor fan.

10.Remove the LED cover.

11.Remove the keyboard.

12.Remove the display assembly.

13.Remove the palm rest.

14.Remove the modem.

15.Remove the modem connector.

16.Remove the ExpressCard cage.

17.Remove the palm rest.

18.Remove the system board.

19.Remove the screw that secures the I/O port card to the computer.

20.Lift the left edge of the I/O port card and remove the I/O port card from the computer.

Replacing the I/O port card

To replace the I/O port card, perform the above steps in reverse order.
