Speaker Setting

Default settings are underlined.

The settings for audio signals output from the analog 7.1ch output terminals are made.

This setting is effective for analog audio output only.

Initial setting for the speaker is 7.1ch. For multi-channel playback, be sure to make this setting.

2.1ch : Front L and R speakers are used.

Set the number of speakers 3.1ch : Front L and R and a center speakers are used.

6.1ch : A surround back speaker is added to the 5.1-chananel surround.

Speaker size: Large or Small

Subwoofer: Used or not used

None : Subwoofer is not connected.

LFE : Adds the low frequency signal of the channel for which the speaker size is set to “small” to the subwoofer signal and outputs it. LFE+Main : Adds the low frequency signal of all channels to the subwoofer signal and outputs it.

Sound level0 dB to 10 dB (initial setting: 0 dB)

Distance0 m to 10 m (initial setting: 3 m)

nn When 2.1ch is selected

Lt/Rt : For selecting down-mixing of multi-channel audio input of DTS- HD, DTS-Digital Surround, Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby Digital audio to a format supporting Dolby surround. If the unit is connected to an AV amplifier supporting Dolby surround, surround sound can be enjoyed. Stereo : Multi-channel sound is down-mixed to 2-channel stereo.

 

NOTE

 

“Lt/Rt” and “Stereo” are effective only when “2.1ch” is selected.

Test Tone

Check the speaker settings, using a test tone.

 

Automatically switches the test tone output speaker.

 

Press ENTER to manually set the values for the desired speaker.

NOTE

Before starting the test tone, reduce the volume setting of the amplifier to an appropriate level.

The test tone is output soon after ENTER is pressed.

Pressing RETURN stops the test tone.
