RP21D User’s Guide Section Two - Editing Functions

1.This parameter is telling you that you are editing the parameters of the Distortion when it is bypassed. You can also edit the on parameters of the Distortion. The number 1 icon is telling you that in order to access the status of editable Distortion parameters, you must press the number 1 button. You can then select the on Distortion parameters by rotating the Data Wheel.

2.This is the Volume Level of the Distortion. This parameter should be adjusted while watching the bar graph in the bottom of the display. Use this parameter to prevent clipping from occuring The number 2 icon is telling you that in order to access the Volume Level, you must press the number 2 button. You can then change the Level value by rotating the Data Wheel.

3.This is the Volume Level of the Distortion signal being fed into the digital section of the RP21D. Use this parameter to prevent digital clipping from occuring. The number 3 icon is telling you that in order to access the Digital Level, you must press the number 3 button. You can then change the Digital Level value by rotating the Data Wheel.

4.This is the combined Master Volume Level of the Program. Should digital clipping occur while using the Digital output, reduce this parameter. The number 4 icon is telling you that in order to access the Master Level, you must press the number 4 button. You can then change the Master Level value by rotating the Data Wheel.

5.This section of the display is telling you that you are on page 4 of 4. There are no more pages of parameters to display. Pressing the Next Page button will wrap around to page 1 of 4.

Storing a User Preamp Default

You have now reached the end of the Preamp Effects. You can now save your settings of all the Preamp Effects to a Preamp Default. That way you can quickly recall all of these settings in another Program without having to reProgram each individual Preamp Effect.

To store your preamp settings to a User Default, press the preamp button until the entire preamp section is flashing. The display will look something like this:

The Display is now telling you two things about the Preamp Section.

1.The number 3 icon is telling you have made changes in the Preamp modules and that in order to store your Preamp settings to a default, you must press the number 3 button. Once you press the number 3 button, the RP21D will take you into a naming menu to give your Preamp default settings a custom name. See the following section for more information on naming functions.

2.The bottom corner of the display is showing that there are 4 pages of parameters associated with the Preamp section, and that you are on the first of these two pages. The Next Page buttons can be used to access page 2 of the Preamp section.

Naming a Default

Every user default can be given a name that you choose. After you have chosen to store a custom default by pressing the number three button from the default page, the RP21D will take you into a naming mode. The display will look something like this:
