7 Use
7.2Cleaning short pile carpets
ATTENTION:
Before you can use the appliance to vacuum short pile carpets you must prepare it as described below. Otherwise the appliance would not be able to move forward on carpet. In addition, do not use the appliance on long pile carpet. In either case the motors of the appliance could be dam- aged due to overload.
| 1. | Ensure that the appliance is switched off |

| (On/Off switch in the "0" position). |
| 2. | Pull off the two round brooms (Fig. 22). |
| 3. | Now the appliance is ready to vacuum |

| short pile carpets. Proceed as described |
|
| under Chapter 7.1, ‘Cleaning hard |
|
| floors’. |

7.3 | Switching off |

Proceed as follows to switch off the appliance:
1.Switch off the appliance with the On/Off switch (Fig. 23) (position "0").
- The LEDs will go out.
2.If you want to stop working with the appli- ance, empty the dust container, Chapter 8.2, ‘Emptying the dust container’.
NOTE:
If you lift the appliance while it is in opera- tion, the motors will switch off automatically after approx. 1 second without floor contact. However, in this case the appliance is not switched off (blue LED remains illumi- nated); it will start up again as soon as it is placed on a substrate.
