
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
HYDROSTATIC TRANSMISSIONS:
Before each use, check to be sure that the cooling fins of the hydrostatic
transmissions | are clean. Excessive accumulation of oil, dirt, or trash | |
may cause the transmissions to | overheat. NEVER WASH ACROSS TOP | |
OF RESERVOIR WITH WATER OR STEAM. | Fill reservoir as required per the | |
maintenance schedule listed in this book. |

HYDROSTAT DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT PRO- CEDURE:
(The hydrostatic drive is equipped with a manual belt
A.Remove the 3/8" locknut, washers, and rubber spacer from the rear
of the | assembly. |
B.Allow the idler arm/pulley to swing forward towards the fornt of the
mower. Remove old | belt if required. Replace with new belt. |
C.With the belt in place on all pulleys, reinsert the rubber spacer, wash-
ers, and 3/8"locknut. Tighten 3/8" locknut until rubber spacer is
deflected approximately 1/8" to 3/16". | Make sure belt is not too tight. | |
Belt deflection or movement should be approximately | ||
