the Exposure Glass

Place originals that cannot be placed

in the ADF (Auto Document Feeder),

such as a book, on the exposure glass

one page at a time.

Placing Originals in the ADF

Use the ADF to scan in a stack of orig-

inals in one operation.

Limitation

❒Place all the originals to be sent in

a single stack. You cannot place

originals in the ADF one page at a

time or in successive stacks.

following lengths, use Memory

Transmission. However, the maxi-

mum length of an original for

Memory Transmission is 1200 mm

❒If you frequently send long docu-

ments, set Long Document Transmis-

sion to on with the User Parameters. If

a jam occurs, the document might be

damaged because scanning will not

❒If your original is bent or folded,

flatten it before you place it.

❒When sending thin originals, place
