Portable Installation

Like many Eagle products, this unit is capable of portable operation by using an optional portable power pack (PPP). The power pack and an optional portable transducer expand the uses for your sonar unit. The

PPPmakes it easy to use the unit on your boat or take it to the dock, on a float tube, on an ice fishing trip or use it as a second sonar in a friend's boat.

Most LEI portable power packs can be used with eight "D" cell alkaline batteries. Some use an optional sealed, rechargeable battery. For in- formation on the PPP for your unit, see the accessory ordering informa- tion inside the back cover of this manual.

MMC or SD Card Memory Card Installation

Your unit uses a MultiMedia Card to store information, such as sonar logs, custom maps, waypoints, trails and other GPS data. The unit can also use Secure Digital Cards (SD card) to store data.

NOTE:

Throughout this manual, we will use the term MMC, but just re- member your unit can use an MMC or SD card to store data.

Both of these solid-state flash memory devices are about the size of a postage stamp. An SD card is slightly thicker than an MMC. As this manual went to press, MMCs were available in storage capacities of 8 MB, 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB and 128 MB. SD cards were available in capacities of 8 MB, 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB, 128 MB, 256 MB and 1 GB.
