Basic operation

When a CD is already loaded, press the [SOURCE] button repeatedly to switch to the CD mode.

Listening to the tuner1.Press and hold the [SOURCE] button until the mode switches to the tuner mode.

This will turn the tuner on.

To turn the tuner off, press the [SOURCE] button either shorter to select another mode or longer to turn the power off.

2.Tap the [ BND ] button to switch to the desired FM or AM bands.

[BND ] button: Switch the FM band.

Pressing the button repeatedly

switches the FM band in the order of FM1 FM2....

[BND ] button: Switch the AM band. Pressing the button repeatedly

switches the AM band in the order of AM1 AM2....

It is also possible to change the numbers of FM and AM bands in a certain combination of them (See Page 56).

3.Press the [ TU ] button to tune to a station.

A tap on either the [ TU ] button for less than one second will enable manual station tuning. Hold one button down for more than two seconds to start the automatic station search.

[TU ] button: Starts searching toward higher frequencies.

[TU ] button: Starts searching toward lower frequencies.

If stations have been stored in memory, pressing a button from [1] to [6] will directly select a station. (Refer to the section “Manually setting stations into memory” on page 48)
