APPENDIX The TEMPERATURE WARNING Indicator flashes red when the internal temperature of the projector exceeds the normal
temperature. The Indicator stops flashing when the tem perature of the projector returns to normal. When the
TEMPERATURE WARNING Indicator continues to flash, chec k the items listed below.

The Ventilation slots of the projector may be blocked. In suc h an event, reposition the projector so that the ventilation
slots are not obstructed.

Air filters may be clogged with dust particles. Clean the air filters by following the section AIR FILTER CARE AND
CLEANING below.

If the TEMPERATURE WARNING Indicator remains on after p erforming the above checks, the Cooling Fans or the
Internal Circuits may be malfunctioning. Contact a ser vice personnel from an authorized dealer or service station.
The Removable Air Filters prevent dust from accumulatin g on the surface of the Projection Lens and the
Projection Mirror. Should the Air Filters become clogg ed with dust particles, it will reduce the Cooling Fans’
effectiveness and may result in internal heat build up a nd adversely affect the life of the projector.
Clean the Air Filters following the steps below:

Turn the power off, and disconnect the AC power cord from the
AC outlet.

Turn the projector upside down and remove two Air F ilters
(Large and Small) by pulling the latches upward.

Clean the Air Filters with brush or wash out the dust anc
particles.

Replace each Air Filter properly. Make sure that the Air Filters
are fully inserted.
CAUTION
Do not operate the projector with the Air Filter removed . Dust may accumulate on the LCD Panel and the Mirror degrading
picture quality. Do not put small parts into the Air In take Vents. It may result in malfunction of the projector.
The Air Filter is a small part. Ensure that childre n don’t eat or swallow it.
RECOMMENDATION
We recommend avoiding dusty/smoky environments when oper ating the projector. Usage in these environments may cause
poor image quality.
When using under dusty or smoky conditions, dust m ay accumulate on the liquid crystal panel, lens, or optical elem ents
inside it. This condition may degrade the quality of the projected image.
When the above symptoms are noticed, contact your authori zed dealer or service station for proper cleaning.
Follow these steps to clean the projection lens:

Apply a non-abrasive camera lens cleaner to a soft, dr y cleaning cloth. Avoid using an excessive amount of cleaner.
Abrasive cleaners, solvents or other harsh chemicals m ight scratch the lens.

Lightly wipe the cleaning cloth over the lens.
3
When the projector is not in use, replace the lens cover.
