22 Chapter 2 Adjusting Screen
Enab le/Disable Contrast Enhancer [Contrast Enhancer]
This feature manages the br ightness and gain levels of the backlight to match the i mage displayed while
also improving the sense of contrast of image s by correcting gamma values.
Procedure
Choose <Color> from the Adjustment menu, and press .
Choose <Advanced Settings> from the <C olor> menu, and press .
Choose <Contrast Enhancer>, and press .
Select “On” or “Off��� with or .
Press to exit the adjust ment.
To enhance the outline of the im age [Outline Enhancer]
OutlineEnhancer fu nctions to emphasize outline of the images by empha sizing the color difference
between pixels composing the images. This m ay improve the texture of the material and its feel of the
images. On the contrary, it also fu nctions to reproduce the images smooth ly by gradating its outline.
Procedure
Choose <Color> from the Adjustment menu, and press .
Choose <Advanced Settings> from the <C olor> menu, and press .
Choose <Outline Enhancer>, and press .
Select the display status in the range f rom -3 to 3 (soft to sharp) with or as desired.
Press to exit the adjust ment.
To adjust the gain value [Gain]
Each luminance of red/green /blue composing the color is called “Gain”. The gain adjustment may change
the color tone of the “White”.
Adjustable range: 0 to 100%
Procedure
Choose <Color> from the Adjustment menu, and press .
Choose <Advanced Settings> from the <C olor> menu, and press .
Choose <Gain>, and press .
Choose the color for adjustment among <Red>, <Green>, or <Blue> to adjust, and press .
Adjust the gain with or .
Press to exit the adjust ment.
NOTE
The gain value may change depend ing on the value of the color temperat ure.
When changing the gai n value, the color temperatur e adjusting range is changed to “ User”.
This function does not e nable to display every color gradat ion.
