Temp Food
160˚F For fresh pork, ground meat, bone-
less white poultry, fish, seafood, egg
dishes and frozen prepared food.
165˚F For leftover, ready-to-reheat refriger-
ated, and deli and carry-out “fresh”
food.
170˚F White meat of poultry.
180˚F Dark meat of poultry.
To test for doneness, insert a meat thermometer in
a thick or dense area away from fat or bone. NEVER
leave the thermometer i n the food during cook ing,
unless it is approved for microwave use.
ALWAYS use potholders to prevent burns when •
handling utensils that are in contact with hot food.
Enough heat from the food can transfer through
utensils to cause skin burns.
Avoid steam burns by directing steam away from •
the face and han ds. Slo wly l ift the far the st e dge
of a d ish’s cover ing and c aref ully open popc orn
and oven cooking bags away from the face.
Stay near the oven while it’s in u se and check •
cooking progress frequently so that there is no
chance of overcooking food.
NEVER use the cavit y for storing cookbooks or •
other items.
Select, store and handle food carefully to pre-•
serve its high quality and minimize the spread of
foodborne bacteria.
Keep waveguide cover clean. Food residue can •
cause arcing and/or fires.
Use care when removing items from the oven so •
that the utensil, your clothes or accessor ies do
not touch the safety door latches.
Keep aluminum foil use d for shielding at least •
1 inch away from walls, ceiling and door.

NEVER u se the Micr owave Oven wi thout the
turn table a nd supp ort nor t urn the tu rntab le
over so that a large dish could be placed in the
oven. The turntable will turn both clockwise and
counterclockwise.
ALWAy s have food in the Microwave Oven when it
is on to absorb the microwave energy.
When using the Mi crowave Oven at power levels
below 100%, you may hear the magnetron cycling
on and off. It is normal for the exterior of the oven to
be warm to the touch when cooking or reheating.
Condensation is a normal part of microwave cook-
ing. Room humidity a nd the moisture in food will
influence the amount of moisture that condenses in
the oven. Generally, covered foods will not cause as
much condensation as uncovered ones. Ventilation
openings must not be blocked.
The Microwave Oven is for food preparation only. It
should not be used to dry clothes or newspapers.
Your Microwave Oven is rated 900 watts by using
the IEC Test Procedure. In using recipes or package
directions, check food a minute or two before the
minimum time and add time accordingly.
