-Go to the Conditions tab in the Create Task Window and enable the “Wake the computer to run this task” option.

-You must then specify at least one action for the task (e.g. task to launch a file-downloading program). To wake up the system without running a program, an option will be to set the task to run cmd.exe with the /c “exit” arguments. This will launch a Command Prompt window and immediately close it, effectively doing nothing.

-Save your new task after you finish configuring it.

It is also possible to wake the tablet up from sleep via Remote Wake-up. Wake on LAN is the technology that allows someone to turn on a tablet remotely, and is often used by system administrators to perform computer maintenance tasks remotely. By default, the Wake on LAN feature is disabled on the tablet. To enable this feature:

-Open Network and Sharing Center. This can be done by touching / selecting the Start button, then typing Network and Sharing in the Start menu search box, and pressing Enter.

-Touch / select “Change adapter settings” located on the upper left of the navigation pane

-Right click on the relevant network connection for which to enable/disable power
