9. Adjust the platen gap using a thickness gauge, while rotating carnage guide shaft in the
direction of the arrow in figure.
Gap value: 0.44 mm gauge is inserted.
0.47 mm gauge is not inserted.

10. Set the head adjust lever at the 2nd position in step 9, and tighten the HNO(M4) nut.

Manually move the carriage to column 10.
Using the thickness gauge, parallel adjust lever so that the platen gap matches the specified
value.
Move the carriage to the 126 column, and measure the gap
value
again to confirm that the gap
value is correct.
Remove the
printhead
from the carriage and set the ribbon mask, then reinstall the
printhead
on the carriage.
