2. Insert all four batteries into the compartment,
positioning the + and - ends as shown below.
3. Close the battery cover and slide it firmly to the
Lock position as shown in the illustration.
When the battery power is almost out, a low battery
icon appears on the display panel. When this icon
is flashing, you cannot take pictures until you change
the batteries. Remove and recharge your batteries, or
obtain new batteries.
When battery power runs out with the camera’s dial
switch set to Play or View, the low battery icon
appears on the LCD screen for five seconds, then the
camera automatically turns off.
If battery power runs out with the lens protruding,
turn the camera off. After a moment, turn the dial
switch to On, then Off again to retract the lens. If it
still doesn’t retract, replace the batteries, then turn the
camera on and off aga in.
