EXTERNAL CHANGER CONNECTIONS

There are a few general rules to follow when connecting changers to

your FireBall...

Changer Types

DVDM-552 is compatible with Sony 777ES DVD/CD changers only

Control Connections

Changer 1 should be connected to COM port 1

Changer 2 should be connected to COM port 2

Changer 3 should be connected to COM port 3

Changer 4 should be connected to COM port 4

Changer 5 should be connected to COM port 5

Note: Do NOT connect any S-Link cables from the DVDM-552 to the Sony 777ES changers.

Digital Audio Connections

Changer 1 should be connected to Optical Digital in 1

Changer 2 should be connected to Optical Digital in 2

Changer 3 should be connected to Optical Digital in 3

Changer 4 should be connected to Optical Digital in 4

Changer 5 should be connected to Optical Digital in 5

Analog Audio Connections

Changer 1 should be connected to Analog Audio in 1

Changer 2 should be connected to Analog Audio in 2

Changer 3 should be connected to Analog Audio in 3

Changer 4 should be connected to Analog Audio in 4

Changer 5 should be connected to Analog Audio in 5

Sony DVD/CD Changer Hookup

Up to five Sony DVP-CX777ES 400 disc changers may be connected via individual RS-232 cables.

An RS-232 cable is standard a DB9 null modem cable (not included with the changer)

The analog audio connection is required when recording from external changers

Set each changer to address Command Mode 1.
