9)Refer to the operating controls. Your unit has three motor speeds. Rotate the speed con- trol knob on the right to select the desired operating mode. The faster the motor speed, the more airflow and the greater the amount of humidification and air purification. The run- ning time per filling varies with humidity of the room, speed setting, and condition of the evaporative wick.

10)2 in 1 air purifier and humidifier has a quiet LOW setting which reduces the airflow for overnight operation in a bedroom or when conditions may not require full output.

11)This model also has an automatic humidistat. (The humidistat control knob is located on the left.) The humidistat will turn the humidifier on when the relative humidity in your home is below the humidistat setting and will turn the humidifier off when the relative humidity reaches the humidistat setting. For initial operation, set the humidistat at its midpoint and adjust up or down from there to achieve the desired humidity level.

During summer months, when no humidity is needed, the product may be operated only as an air purifier, by turning the humidistat as far as it will go in the clockwise direction to its lock-on position. Having the humidistat knob in the lock-on position will prevent the product from turning off if the humidity is high. The air purifier is designed to operate with BOTH wicks AND air filter in place, with or without water. Do not operate the unit in the lock-on position dur- ing the humidifying season. Essick Air will not be liable for water damage to your home due to excess humidity.

12)The 2 in 1 air purifier & humidifier should be placed at least FOUR inch- es away from any walls and away from heat registers. Do not place on soft carpet. Unrestricted airflow into the unit will result in the best effi- ciency and performance.

13)Extend the power cord and inspect it for any damage. Do not use the product if the cord has been damaged. Plug the cord into a polarized 120-volt AC outlet.
