RE-ASSEMBLY
12)Position the tray with the arrows on the inside of the tray pointing toward you. Replace the wicks into the tray water channel. See CON- TROLS AND OPERATION section. Note: Both wicks and air filter must be in position for proper operation of the unit.
13)Replace the air filter in the area between the evaporative wicks. The notches in the black filter frame must be facing the front of the water tray.
14)Pick up the top housing with the control knobs facing toward you. Next, position the top housing directly above the tray lowering it carefully onto the tray and aligning the tray and top housing walls. The top housing latches should snap into the shelf inside the tray and attach firmly to the tray. With the latch on both sides of the cover in place, press down firm- ly on top of the cover to secure the top housing latches to the tray. Lift the housing slightly to be sure it is attached securely to the base. Failure to do so may result in water damage to your home.
15)Return the unit to its desired location.
16)Refill and replace the water bottles. (Refer to the CONTROLS AND OPERATIONS section.)
Under certain conditions, water impurities may accelerate bacteria growth in the water bottle. We recommend using Bemis by Essick Air Bacteria Treatment when the water bottles are filled. Follow directions on the bacteriostat container.
17)Plug the unit in and turn it on.
REPLACING EVAPORATIVE WICKS
We recommend replacing the wicks at least once a season, more often in hard water areas. When the wicks appear excessively clogged with mineral deposits, discard them and restore your 2 in 1 air purifier & humidifier’s effi- ciency with new wicks. Model #1040 is the replacement evaporative water wick. (Call

Use of evaporative wicks or filters other than Bemis by Essick Air evaporative wicks or filters will void your warranty as well as the certification of output and may reduce the efficiency and out- put of your 2 in 1 air purifier & humidifier.
CLEANING AND REPLACING THE AIR CLEANING FILTER (MODEL #1202)
The air cleaning filter continuously removes particles and odor as the air in the room is circulated during the normal operation of the 2 in 1 air purifier & humidifier. The pleated white media is an electrostatic charged particulate fil- ter for removing dust and small particles. Over a period of time, all the air in the room passes through and is cleaned by the air filter.
