Press e(p) to select Macro mode. Press e(p) again to cancel Macro mode.

•When setting or mode, the camera sets to Macro mode automatically.

Approx. 7 cm to 80 cm (2.8 in. to 2.6 ft.) Telephoto:

Approx. 30 cm to 80 cm (1.0 ft. to 2.6 ft.)

•Focal range (, ) Wide angle:

Approx. 7 cm to 2 m (2.8 in. to 6.6 ft.) Telephoto:

Approx. 30 cm to 2 m (1.0 ft. to 6.6 ft.)

•Effective flash range

Approx. 30 cm to 80 cm (1.0 ft. to 2.6 ft.)

When taking a picture using the flash for a wide angle shot, the camera lens might cast a shadow in the frame. In such case, increase the distance from the subject a little and zoom in.

MEMO

•Use a tripod to prevent camera shake in Macro mode. Any of the following cancels Macro mode:

ZUsable Memory Cards

You can use the xD-Picture Card and the SD Memory Card with the FinePix F40fd / FinePix F45fd. In this Owner’s Manual, these cards are expressed as “Memory Card”.
