Turning the camera on in

Shooting mode

Open the lens cover completely to turn the camera on. Close the lens cover to turn the camera off.

Changes between Shooting mode and Playback mode

Press wduring shooting to change to Playback mode. Press the shutter button down halfway to return to Shooting mode.

CAUTION

Take care not to get fingerprints on the camera lens as this will result in impaired image quality in your shots.

Turning the camera on in Playback mode

ALeave the lens cover closed.• Close the lens coverBPress w for about 1 second to turn the camera on in Playback mode.Press w during playback to turn the camera off.

CAUTION

When the lens cover is open, even if you press w, the power cannot be turned off. Follow the instructions on the LCD monitor.

To change to Shooting mode, open the lens cover completely so that it will not move further.
