When there are multiple people in the frame, Intelligent Face Detection will set a green frame around the face nearest to the center of the picture. This face has focusing priority.

CAUTION

If the camera or subject moves as the picture is taken,

 

the subject’s face may move out of the Intelligent Face

 

Detection frame.

 

When the camera is detecting multiple faces, the green

 

frame is set around the face near the center. If you want

 

to focus on another subject, move the camera so that

 

the new subject is in the center of the LCD monitor.

 

If focus is still not achieved, press

(Intelligent Face

 

Detection) to turn off the function, and take the picture

Intelligent Face Detection can focus on a face in a white

frame providing the subjects in the green and white

frame are of the same focal length.

 

• When the shutter button is pressed halfway with

Intelligent Face Detection off, the focus will be on the

center of the LCD monitor.

 

• When the shooting mode is set toor s, the image

will be focused with respect to faces, but because the

exposure will be controlled by the shooting mode, faces

will not be adjusted for optimal exposure.

• If the camera is unable to detect faces in an image, it will

not correct the red eye-effect sufficiently, or not at all.

Also, the camera cannot correct the red-eye effect if the

face is in profile.

 

REMOVING

Red-eye effect in an image will be detected after the shooting.
