Replacing the Pen Battery

Caution

The Stylistic 2300 pen is a sophisticated, high-quality electronic instrument that can be damaged with improper use. Treat the pen as you would any precision device. The following list contains guidelines for proper pen handling:

•Unscrew the pen only when you are changing the battery.

•Do not overtighten the pen when screwing it back together. The pen barrel will break if excessive force is used.

•Do not try to turn the thumb grip on the pen; it is designed strictly for inserting and removing the pen from the pen holder.

•When the pen is not in use, it should be stored in the pen holder to avoid damage.

The pen battery has a typical life of about one year under normal use. More frequent use will shorten battery life. The pen uses one size AAAA 1.5 volt alkaline battery. If your system does not respond to the pen, or your pen is producing unpredictable results, replace the pen battery. To do so:

1.Open the pen by twisting the pen barrel counterclockwise.
