REMOVING THE DOORS (Double Door Refrigerator Models only)

1REMOVETHE REFRIGERATOR DOORS

ATape the doors shut with masking tape.

BStart with left-hand door first: Remove

the screw securing the center hinge cover, lift the hinge cover and place to the side on top of the refrigerator.

Remove hinge cover (1 Phillips screw)

CRemove the hinge cover on top of the refrigerator door by removing the Phillips head screw and pulling the cover up.

DUsing a 5/16socket ratchet/driver, remove the bolts securing the top hinge to the cabinet . Then lift the hinge straight up to free the hinge pin from the socket in the top of the door.

1REMOVETHEREFRIGERATOR DOORS (cont.)

ERemove the tape and tilt the door away from the cabinet . Lift the door off the center hinge pin. Ensure that the plastic hinge pin thimble remains on the hinge pin or inside door hinge pin hole located in the bottom of the door.

FSet the door on a non-scratching surface with the inside up.

2REMOVECENTERHINGE

Using a 5/16socket ratchet/driver, remove the bolts securing the center hinge to the cabinet . Set the hinge and bolts aside.

3REMOVEOPPOSITE DOOR

Follow the same procedure on the opposite door. There are no center hinge covers on the opposite side.

4REMOVEFREEZER DRAWER

Refer to the Removing the Freezer Drawer section for instructions.
