Caring for the dishwasher.

Cleaning the Spray Arms and the Filters (Continued)

Cleaning the Filters

For best performance and results, the filter assembly must be cleaned once a month. The filter efficiently removes food particles from the wash water, allowing water to be recirculated during the cycle. For this reason, it is a good idea to remove the large food particles trapped in the filter frequently by rinsing the

main filter and cup under running water. To remove the filter assembly, follow the 3 steps shown below. To clean the main filter and fine filter, use a cleaning brush. The dishwasher must never be used without the filters. Improper replacement of the filter may reduce the performance level of the appliance and may damage dishes and utensils.

STEP 1: Turn the filter counter-clockwise and lift up.

STEP 2: Lift the main filter up

STEP 3: Lift the fine filter up

General Care Instructions

Protect Against Freezing

If your dishwasher is left in an unheated place during the winter, ask a service technician to:

1 Cut off electrical power to the dishwasher. Remove fuses or trip circuit breaker.

2 Turn off the water supply and disconnect the water inlet line from the water valve.

3

4

Drain water from the water inlet line and water valve. (Use a pan to catch the water.)

Reconnect the water inlet line to the water valve.

Two types of air gaps

Check the air gap any time your dishwasher isn’t draining well.

Does Your Dishwasher Have an Air Gap?

An air gap protects your dishwasher against water backing up into it if a drain clogs.

The air gap is not a part of the dishwasher. It is not covered by your warranty. Not all plumbing codes require

air gaps, so you may not have one.

The air gap is easy to clean.

1 Turn off the dishwasher and lift off the chrome cover.

2 Remove the plastic cap and clean with a toothpick.

GLDT690, GLDT696 specifications

The GE GLDT696 and GLDT690 are sophisticated gas turbine engines designed for various industrial applications, particularly in power generation and mechanical drive services. Both models represent the culmination of advanced engineering, offering superior performance, reliability, and efficiency to meet the demands of modern energy needs.

The GE GLDT696 is known for its high output and operational flexibility. It features a heavy-duty design that allows it to operate across a wide range of environmental conditions. This turbine is equipped with advanced aerodynamics that enhance airflow and combustion efficiency, resulting in a significant reduction in emissions. With a thermal efficiency of up to 36%, the GLDT696 excels in converting fuel into usable energy, making it an ideal choice for power generation in combined cycle power plants.

On the other hand, the GLDT690, while slightly smaller in capacity, does not compromise on performance. Known for its compact design, this engine is particularly suitable for applications where space is a constraint. The GLDT690 shares many technological advancements with its larger counterpart, including the same high-efficiency combustor and turbine blade designs, which contribute to lower operational costs and emissions.

Both turbines utilize state-of-the-art controls that provide real-time monitoring and optimization of performance variables. The integrated control system allows for seamless operation and enhances reliability, reducing the risk of unplanned downtime. Additionally, both models are designed with modular components, facilitating easier maintenance and quicker turnaround times.

The emissions control technologies utilized in both GE models are noteworthy. They include low-NOx combustion systems and advanced air-fuel mixing techniques, which significantly mitigate the release of harmful pollutants into the atmosphere. This not only helps operators adhere to stringent environmental regulations but also bolsters sustainability efforts in energy production.

Overall, the GE GLDT696 and GLDT690 are exemplary examples of cutting-edge turbine technology. By combining high efficiency, reliability, and advanced emissions controls, these gas turbines stand as a testament to GE's commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility in the pursuit of cleaner energy solutions.
