Slidescrewsbacktoreleasefrontof
ovenbottom.Lifitheovenbottom
upandpull forwarduntilreartabs
releasefromrear ovenwall.Then
takeovenbottomoutofoven.
Toreplace:
Inserttwotabsinto slotsinrear
ovenwall.Lowerbottominto
place.Slidetwoscrewsat frontof
ovenbottomforwardandtighten
themtosecureovenbottomin
place.Note:If the ovenbottomis
replacedincorrectly,itmaywarp
andcauseundesirablebaking
results.
Theovenbottomhasaporcelain
enamelfinish.Tomakecleaning
easier,protecttheovenbottom
fromexcessivespillovers.Thisis
particularlyimportantwhenbaking
afruitpieor other foodswithhigh
acidcontent.Hotfruit fillingsor
foodsthatareacid in contentsuch
asmilk, tomatoor sauerkraut,and
sauceswithvinegaror lemonjuice,
maycausepittinganddamageto
theporcelainenamelsurface.
Toprotecttheovenbottomsurface,
placeapiece ofaluminumfoil
slightlylargerthanthebakingdish
orasmall cookiesheetonalower
shelfor underthebakingdishto
catchanyboilovers.Itshouldnot
completelycovertheshelfasthis
wouldcauseunevenheatinthe
oven.Aluminumfoilshouldnotbe
placedonthe ovenbottom.
Ifaspilloverdoesoccuron the
ovenbottomallowtheoventocool
first.Youcanclean thebottomwith
soapandwater,amild abrasive
cleanser,soap-filledabrasivepads
orcausticovencleanerfollowing
manufacturer’sdirections.

Thetemperaturecontrolinyour
newovenhasbeencarefu~yadjusted
toprovideaccuratetemperatures.
However,ifthisovenhasreplaced
oneyouhaveusedforseveralyears,
youmaynoticeadifferenceinthe
degreeofbrowningorthe lengthof
timerequiredwhenusingyour
favoriterecipes.Oventemperature
controlshaveatendencyto “drift”
overaperiodofyears andsince
thisdrift isvery gradual,itis not
readilynoticed.Therefore,you
mayhavebecomeaccustomedto
yourpreviousovenwhichmay
haveprovidedahigherorlower
temperaturethanyouselected.
Beforeattemptingtohavethe
temperatureofyournewoven
changed,besureyouhavefollowed
thebakingtimeand temperatureof
therecipecarefilly. Then,after
youhaveusedtheovenafewtimes
andyoufeel theovenis toohotor
toocool, thereis asimple
adjustmentyoucanmakeyourself
onthe OVENTEMPknob.
Pulltheknob offthecontrolshaft
andlookat theback side.Thereis
adiscin thecenterofthe knobskirt
withaseriesof marksoppositea
pointer.

carefullyloosen(approximately
oneturn), butdo notcompletely
removethetwoscrewsthatholdthe
skirttothe knob.Holdthe knob
bladeinone handandthe outer
skirtin theotherhand.
Toraisetheoventemperature,
movethepointerinthe directionof
thearrowfor RAISE.Tolowerthe
temperature,movethepointerin
thedirectionofarrowfor LOWER.
Eachmarkwill changetheoven
temperatureapproximately25”F.
Wesuggestthatyoumakethe
adjustmentonemarkfromthe
originalsettingandcheckoven
performancebeforemakingany
additionaladjustments.
Aftertheadjustmentismade,
pressskirtand knobtogetherand
retightenscrewssotheyare snug,
butbe carefi,dnottoovertighten.
Re-installknobonrangeand
checkperformance.
Note:Afteran adjustmenthas
beenmade,the OFF andBROIL
positionswillnotlineup with
theindicatormarkon thecontro~
panelastheypreviouslydid.
Thisconditionisnormaland
willnotcreate aproblem.
