Whentherangeis cool,washthe
enamelfinishwithmildsoapand
wateroramild abrasivecleanser
appliedwithadampcloth.Rinse
thesurfacewithcleanwaterand
drywithasofi cloth.Ifyouwish,
occasionallyapplyathincoatof
mildcleaningwaxtohelpprotect
thefinish.
Thereareanumberof precautions
youcantaketo avoidmarringthe
surfaceoftherangeand toprevent
itfrombecomingdull.Don’tslide
heavypansacrossit. Ifyouspill
foodswithalotof acid(tomatoes,
sauerkraut,fruitjuices,etc.)or
foodswithhighsugarcontent,
cleanthemup assoonas possible.
Ifallowedto set,thesefoodscould
causeadullspot.Also, nomatter
howstubbornthefoodstain,never
useharshabrasivecleansers.They
couldpermanentlydamagethe
enamelsurface.
It’sagoodideatowipe thecontrol

oven.Foramorethoroughcleaning,
theknobscanbe removedby
pullingthemofftheknobstems.
Cleanwithmildsoap andwater,
rinsewithcleanwaterandpolish
drywithasoft cloth.

cleanersonthecontrolpanelas
theywilldamagethefinish.

Gratesshouldbewashedregularly
and,of course,afierspillovers.
Washtheminhot, soapywaterand
rinsewithcleanwater.Dry the
grateswithacloth—don’tputthem
backonthe rangewet.When
replacingthegrates,besurethey’re
lockedintopositionovertheburners.
Togetrid ofburned-onfood,soak
thegratesin aslightlydiluted
liquidcleanser.
Althoughthey’redurable,the
grateswillgraduallylosetheir
shine,regardlessofthebestcare
youcangivethem. Thisisdueto
theircontinualexposuretohigh
temperatures.
Donot operateaburnerforan
extendedperiodoftimewithout
cookwareonthegrate.The finish
onthegrate maychipwithout
cookwaretoabsorbtheheat.
Whenreplacinga
pairof grates,
theirregular
sidesshould
meetinthe
middleasshown+
