4. Removethebroilerpan.
Tolightthe oven pilotduring an
electricalpoweroutage:
1. BesureOVENTEMPknob isin
theOFFposition.
2. Openboththeovenand broiler
doorsandwait5minutestoallow
anypilotgasto dissipate.
3. Unplugtherangefromthewall
outlet,tumoff thecircuitbreaker,
orremovethefusetoavoidaccidenti
ignitionoftheovenifelectricpower
isrestoredwhileyouare lighting
thepilot.
5. Locatetheovenpilotassembly
bylookingintothebroileropening.
Thepilotis atthe backof the
broilercompartment,ontheright
sideofthe burner.
Note:Theovenmustbeat room
temperaturebeforeyoushould
attempttolighttheovenpilot
manually.
6. TurntheOVENTEMP knobto
thedesiredtemperaturesetting.
7.Lightthe pilotwithamatchand
withdrawyourarmimmediately
becausetheovenburnermaylight
inas littleas20 seconds.
8. Replacethebroilerpanand
closetheovenandbroiler doors.
Note:It isnecessaryto lightthe
pilotmanuallyeachtimetheoven
isusedduringapower outage.
AirAdjtimentAnair adjustmentshutterforthe
ovenburnerregulatestheflowofair
totheflame.You’llfindtheshutter
againstthebackwallbehindthe
broilerdrawer.Toreachit,remove
theovenbottom(page16)andthe
burnerbaffle.

Toadjust the flowofair, loosen
thePhillipsheadscrewandrotate
theshuttertoallowmoreorless air
intotheburnertubeasneeded.
Whenthe right amountof air
flowsintothe burner, theflame
shouldbesteady,withapproximately
I/2°bluecones, andshouldnot
extendoutoverthebaffleedges.
OvenTempemtureControITheOVENTEMPcontrolis
locatedatthecenterof thecontrol
panelonthe frontofthe range.
Simplyturntheknob tothedesired
cookingtemperatures,whichare
markedin25”F.incrementsonthe
dial.It willnormallytake30to 60
secondsbeforetheflamecomeson.
Aftertheovenreachesthe selected
temperature,theovenburnercycles—
offcompletely,thenonwithafill
flame-to keeptheoventemperature
controlled. 9

Whenplacingcookwareonashelf,
pulltheshelfout tothe “stop”
position.Placethecookwareon
theshelf,then slidetheshelfback
intotheoven.Thiswill eliminate

Toremovetheshelvesfromthe
oven,pullthemtowardyou,tilt
frontendupwardandpullthemout.
Toreplace,placeshelfonshelf
supportwithstop-locks(curved
extensionundershelf)facingupand
towardrearofoven.Tiltupfront
andpushshelftowardbackofoven
untilitgoespast “stop”onoven
wall.Thenlowerfrontofshelfand
pushitall thewayback.
