At Iwth OFF and HI settings, there is a slight niche so the ~: ntrol “clicks” at those positions; “click” on the word .Hj marks the highest setting; the lowest setting IS &he word LO.
When cooking in J quiet kitchen, you may hear slight “clicking”
Swilching heats to higher settings always results in a quicker chtinge than switching to lower settings.

l’he control must be pushed in to set only from the OFF position. When the control is in any position other than OFF, it may be rotated without pushing in.
Be s(ue you turn the control knob to OFF when yOLI i’inish ccoking. An indicator light will glow W’hell a surface unit is on.

Cooktop temperatures increase with the number of surface units I:h,:!: are on. With 3 or 4 surfwcc units turned on, surfiice tCfllp(31”:ltUI’i:S are high, so be careful when touching the cooktop.
The H(IT SURFACE light will glow when the cooktop is hot to the touch.
NOTE:

●When a surface unit is turned on, the unit can be seen glowing red within a few seconds. The red glow will turn on and off (cycling) to maintain the selected heat setting, With poor cookware, you will see frequent cycling of the unit of’f and on. Good, IIat cookwarz wiil minimize the cycling. See the Cooking Tips section.
Coil Sekxt control
T() usc the large 9 inclies heating area, push und turn the COIL SIXIKT knob clockwise to the position marked BOTH. The unit will heat the entire area contziined by the larger circle.
To use [he small 6 inches heating area, push and turn the COIL SELECT knob counterclockwise to the position marked INNER. The unit will only heat the area inside the smaller circle.
