CUIDADO

Elfabricante no recomienda usar ninguna gasolina que contenga alcohol (como el “gasohol”). Si usa alguna gasolina que contenga alcohol, no debe contener más de 10 porciento de etanol y debe retirarse del generador durante el almacenamiento. NO use ninguna gasolina que contenga metanol. Si usa gasolina con alcohol, inspeccione más frecuentemente si hay fugas de combustible u otras anormalidades.

2.8ARRANQUE DEL MOTOR

ADVERTENCIA

Nunca arranque ni detenga el motor con los dispositivos eléctricos conectados a los receptáculos ni encendidos.

•Desconecte todas las cargas eléctricas de los receptáculos de la unidad antes de arrancar el motor.

•Asegúrese de que la unidad esté en una posición nivelada.

•Abra la válvula de cierre del combustible (figura 16).

PELIGRO

¡Nunca opere en áreas cerradas o interiores! ¡NUNCA lo use en el hogar, o en áreas parcialmente cerradas, como garajes, aún si las puertas y ventanas están abiertas! Úselo SÓLO en exteriores y lejos de ventanas abiertas, puertas, ductos de ventilación y en áreas que no acumularán el mortal gas del escape.

CIERRE DE COMBUSTIBLE

•Ubique el interruptor de encendido/apagado (ON/OFF) del control de espera (Idle) en el panel de control y colóquelo en OFF (figura 17).

MÍNIMO

•Mueva la palanca de CHOKE del motor a la posición “Full Choke” (completo) (Figura 18).

•Para arrancar el motor, mantenga presionado el interruptor de Start/Run/Stop en la posición “Start”. El motor intentará arrancar. Cuando el motor arranque, suelte el interruptor a la posición “run” (funcionamiento).

•Cuando el motor arranque, mueva la palanca de Choke a “1/2 choke” hasta que el motor funcione en forma suave y luego completamente a la posición “Run”. Si el motor decae, mueva la palanca de Choke nuevamente a “1/2 choke” hasta que el motor funcione en forma suave y luego a la posición “Run”.

NOTA:

Si el motor dispara, pero no sigue funcionando, mueva la palanca de choke a “Full Choke” y repita las instrucciones de arranque.

IMPORTANTE: No sobrecargue el generador. Asimismo, no sobrecargue los receptáculos individuales. Estas tomas están protegidas contra sobrecargas con interruptores de circuito tipo presionar para reiniciar. Si la corriente nominal de cualquiera de los interruptores se excede, ese interruptor se abre y la salida eléctrica a ese receptáculo se pierde. Lea “No sobrecargue el generador” con mucho cuidado.
