5.2 Vehicle Seat Belt Requirements•The VEHICLE seat must face forward.
•DO NOT use infant restraint on vehicle seats with seat backs
that will not lock in an upright position. DO NOT useseats that
canfold down without having to releasea lock or latch of some
kind.Theseseats can fly forward andstrikethe child in a sudden
stopor crash.
MANY SEATBELT SYSTEMS ARE NOT SAFE TO USE WITH
THE INFANT RESTRAINT.THE VEHICLE SEAT BELT MUST BE
DESIGNED TO HOLD THE INFANT RESTRAINT TIGHTLY AT
ALL TIMES.
Paycareful attention to these systems; someof the seat belts that
arenot safe to use look verymuch like seat belts that aresafe to
