5.2.2 SAFE Vehicle Belt Systems
THE FOLLOWING BELT SYSTEMS CAN BE USED WITH YOUR
INFANT RESTRAINT,IF the seat location meetsall other
requirementsof these instructions and those inyour vehicle owner's
manual.LATCH canbeused in place of thevehiclebelt system.

Lap Belts - Manually Adjusted
Whenbuckled, the belt is
tightenedmanually by pulling
onthe excess belt while pushing
downhard on the infant restraint.
Lap Belts with Automatic
Locking Retractor(ALR)
Theautomatic locking retractor
willnot permit the lap belt to
lengthenonce it is buckled. Tighten
thebelt by feeding the belt back
intothe retractor while pushing
downhard on the infant restraint.
Combination Lap/Shoulder Belt
with Locking Latch Plate
Onceit is buckled, this type of
belthas a latchplate that will not
allowthe lap portion of the beltto
loosen.Belt is tightened by pulling
hardon the shoulder portion of the
vehiclebelt while pushing down
hardon the infant restraint.
