6.2 Securing Child in Infant Restraint

Failureto properly secure your child inthe infant restraint/carrier
increasesthe risk of serious injury ordeath from suffocation or
falls,or in the event of asudden stop or crash. Even whenused
onlyas a carrier, make sure the harnessstrapsare properly
secured.
1. Moveinfant restraint handle to sitting position(see page 13).
2. Openharness clip by
squeezingboth sides and
unbuckleas shown .
