Unpacking and Inspection
Shipment and Transit
The freezer has been operated and tested at the factory. Upon arrival the complete freezer must be thoroughly checked for any damage which may have occurred in transit. NOTE: A Tip (N) Tell warning device is placed on each shipping carton at the factory. If the arrow tip is blue, the carton has been tipped in transit. (See Figure 1)
IMPORTANT: The carrier is responsible for all damage in transit whether visible or con- cealed. DO NOT PAY THE FREIGHT BILL until the freezer has been checked for damage. Have the carrier note any visible damage on the freight bill. If concealed damage and/or shortage is found later, advise the carrier within 10 days and request inspection. The cus- tomer must place any claim for damage and/or shortage with the carrier. The manufacturer cannot make any claims against the carrier.
