Grounding
In the event of an electrical short, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least resistance to disperse electric cur- rent. This machine is equipped with a power cord that has an
Electrocution or a fire can result if the machine is not grounded correct- ly. Make sure all electri- cal circuits are ground- ed. Do not use the machine if it is not grounded.
NOTICE
The wire on the power cord with green or green and yellow striped insulation is the grounding conductor.
This machine must have a ground prong in the plug to help ensure that it is grounded. DO NOT remove ground prong from plug to fit into a
Extension Cord
If you find it absolutely necessary to use an extension cord while operating this machine on a
110V power source:
•Make sure the cord is rated for Standard Service (Grade S) or better.
•The extension cord must also contain a ground wire and plug pin.
•Use a 16 gauge cord if the cord is 50 feet long or less.
•Use a 14 gauge cord if the cord is between 50 and 100 feet long.
We do not recommend the use of extension cords on 220V equipment. Instead, arrange the placement of your equipment and the installed wiring to eliminate the need for extension cords.
If you find it absolutely necessary to use an extension cord while operating this machine on a
220V power source:
•Make sure the cord is rated for Standard Service (Grade S) or better.
•The extension cord must also contain a ground wire and plug pin.
•Use at least a 16 gauge cord if the cord is 100 feet long or less.

Operating this machinery may require additional electrical upgrades spe- cific to your machine and shop environ- ment.
