Set Up Safety
This machine presents serious injury hazards to untrained users. Read through this entire manu- al to become familiar with the controls and opera- tions before starting the machine!
Unpacking
The Model G0594 was carefully packed when it left our warehouse. If you discover the machine is damaged after you have signed for delivery, please immediately call Customer Service at (570)
Save the containers and all packing materials for possible inspection by the carrier or its agent. Otherwise, filing a freight claim can be difficult.
When you are completely satisfied with the con- dition of your shipment, you should inventory the contents.
Site Considerations
Location
The chipper/shredder must be placed on a firm, flat, grass or dirt surface to prevent the machine from tipping. DO NOT place the machine on con- crete, asphalt, or other hard surfaces. The chips could bounce up from the hard surface and cause injury.
Working Clearances
Consider the length of the material to be pro- cessed through the machine and make sure that there is enough height above the chipper/shred- der to accommodate the material.
Make sure the unit is located close to the area where the chips are going to be used to reduce carrying.
Stay clear of the discharge area. Make sure all bystanders, children, pets, or objects that you do not want damaged or covered in chips, are clear of the discharge area.
