Yes, we recommend emptying the water from the tank. Just open the Excess Water Removal Valve found on the end of the canister and empty the excess water into the sink.

Question: Do the accessories lock into place, or do I have to worry about them coming off while I am steaming?

The accessories snap onto tabs found on the steam head.

Question: My new GS-60 had a funny smell when I used it for the first time. Is that normal?

Yes, there may be a slight odor emitted during the first use.

Question: How do I know when the tank is empty?

When there is no more water in the tank and a refill is needed, the ‘Water Refill’ light found on the top of the canister by the fill opening will light up. Turn the unit off and wait a few minutes before adding another 2 cups (500 cc) of water to the tank.
