Cómo reemplazar el foco UV

El foco UV ha sido diseñado para ofrecer cerca de un año de uso eficaz continuo. Después de ese lapso de tiempo, el foco podrá seguir ilumina- do, pero su efectividad se habrá reducido drásticamente.

Para obtener la máxima protección germicida, reemplace el foco UV cuando reemplace el filtro HEPA o si la mirilla de verificación del foco no brilla en cuanto se enciende el inter- ruptor UV.Los focos de repuesto se pueden obtener directamente de Hamilton Beach.

Apague y desenchufe el purificador de aire. Abra y quite la rejilla de salida jalando la manija en la parte superior trasera del purificador de aire.

Gire el foco un cuarto de vuelta suave- mente en cualquier dirección hasta que se destrabe del receptáculo. Jale las patitas hacia los lados del receptáculo, un extremo a la vez.

Tenga cuidado de no tocar la parte de vidrio del foco. Manipúlelo sola- mente de los extremos metálicos. La grasa de las yemas de los dedos en el foco de vidrio acortará la vida útil del foco. Desempaque el foco cuidadosa- mente y deshágase del empaque. Comenzando por un extremo del foco, y luego el otro, inserte suavemente las patitas de metal del foco en el recep- táculo blanco con ranuras, una patita a la vez.

NOTA: Solamente entrará una patita a la vez en el receptáculo. NUNCA fuerce las patitas en el receptáculo–usted podría romper el foco.
