How to Use

BEFORE FIRST USE: Wipe the bottom and top cooking grids with a soapy damp cloth. Rinse cloth then wipe grids again. Wipe or brush cooking grids with vegetable oil. This is only recommended before first use.

1.Make sure unit is unplugged. Select preferred cooking grids.

2.Insert tabs on grid into slots on unit

3.Press the other side of the grid to snap into place. Repeat with other grid.

4.Close unit and plug into outlet.

5.Let preheat for about 5 minutes.

To Cook Waffle Stix™:

6.Raise cover and pour about 1⁄2 cup (125 ml) batter onto

the center of each cooking grid. Lower the cover. The waf- fle maker will use a total of

1 cup (250 ml) batter.

7.Waffles are done in about 61⁄2 min- utes, depending on recipe, or when steaming stops. Remove waffle with plastic or wooden utensil. Never use metal. This will damage the nonstick coating.

8.Waffles can be served whole or broken into Waffle Stix™ for dipping. Care must be taken when breaking waffles into sticks as waffles are hot. Allow to cool for approximately 10 seconds before breaking.

9.When finished cooking, unplug unit and let cool then follow instructions in “To Clean.”

To Toast Sandwiches:

6.Cook sandwiches according to recipe directions. Carefully remove cooked sandwiches.

7.If there is a build-up of grease on the sandwich grids, clean the grids and any surfaces of excess grease before continuing to cook. Follow instructions in “To Clean.”

8.When finished cooking, unplug unit and let cool then follow instructions in “To Clean.”

NOTES:

•Do not operate unit unless grids are securely snapped in place.

•Do not grill meats, fatty foods, or marinated products on the sandwich toaster grids.
