OFF - if you do not want to use the password, use 
ARROW KEYS to select OFF. (cursor will be under the word OFF). Pressing ENTER turns off the password.
EDIT- if you want to change the password, press 
ARROW KEYS to select EDIT (cursor will be under the word EDIT). Pressing ENTER allows you to change the password. Pressing ENTER twice deletes the password.

NOTE: when the password is on, you must use the password to
access the following files: Dear Diary, Phone/Address, Secrets, Wishes, Favorites, Dislikes and Special Days.
7.Suggestion - you may “hide” your password in an “unlockable” file, such as Homework or Memo.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You must remember your password. Write it down somewhere if necessary. If you forget your password and have not written it down, you will be locked out of very important files. The only way to
