1STANDBY/ON

Turns the recorder on and off.

Press to turn the power on and off. (As to the indication of the Operate switch, “ I ” shows ON and “Í” shows electrical power stand-by.)

2DV-IN

Connects external digital equipment with a DV jack.

3AV4 IN

Connects external equipment.

4DISC TRAY

Opens to accept a disc.

5DISPLAY

Displays the playing status, title/ chapter/ time, etc.

6OPEN/CLOSE

Opens and closes the disc tray.

7STOP

Stops disc playback.

8PLAY/PAUSE

Plays a disc or pauses playback.

9SEARCH

Goes to the next title/chapter/track, or goes back to the previous title/chapter/track.

:REC

Starts recording.

Select TV preset channels.

Same as PROG buttons in remote control.
