INOTE: Push in the center ofthe Cassette all the way until it is latched by the cassette holder.
4. Press the cassette holder. The holder will latch inthe operating position.
Removing a cassette
Press "STOP/EJECT" The cassettedoor will openautomatically Remove the cassette.
1 Connect the POWER SOURCE (See pages 9 and 10)
2. Insert the cassette.
3. Press and hold the small button on "CAM/OFFNIDEO", and then slide it to the "CAM" position. The
camcorder will enter record/pause mode automatically.

, If the erase prevention tab on the cassette is removed, the TAPE indication in the viewfinderflashes for 1
several seconds and the Camcorder will not enter record/pause mode: 1

4 Now, press "REC/PAUSE" to start shooting the picture. The "REC" indication appears in the viewfinder and
you are now recording the picture you see through the viewfinder.
5. Press "REC/PAUSE" to stop recording. Press the button again to resume recording. The ";" indication will
appear inthe viewfinder instead of "REC" while the camcorder is in the record/pause (stand-by) mode.

6 Slide "CAM/OFFNIDEO" to "OFF" position to turn off the camcorder.
7. Press "STOP/EJECT" to remove the cassette.
8. Always remove the power source from the camcorder after use.
