
For longer service life of the outboard
motor,‘have your outboard motor ser-
viced by an authorized Honda Marine
dealer before storage.
If you are unable to take the motor to
your dealer, proceed as follows:
Draining the Carburetors
B Gasoline is
extremely flammable, and gaso-
line vapor can explode, causing
serious injury or death. Do not
smoke or allow flames or sparks
in your working area, KEEP OUT
OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
Be careful not to spill gasoline. Spilled
gasoline or gasoline vapor may ignite.
If any gasoline is spilled, make sure
the area is dry before storing or trans-
porting the motor. Do not smoke or
allow flames or sparks where gasoline
is drained or stored.
DRAII’i SCREW
1. Disconnect the fuel hose connector.
2. Pull the #3 carburetor drain hose
outside of the motor pan.
3. Loosen the drain screw of the #3
carburetor and drain the carburetor.
Catch the draining gasoline in an
approved gasoline container.
4. Dram the #I and #2 carburetors in
the same manner using the #3 car-
buretor dram hose.

5. After thoroughly draining the car-
buretors, tighten the drain screws
securely.
6. Reinstall the drain hose back on the
#3 carburetor.
