Pull the spring retainer toward you,
and raise the fuel filter.
4. Check the fuel filter for water accu-
mulation or sediment. If no water
or sediment are found, reinstall the
fuel filter properly.
FUEL HOSES
Change
1. Remove the fuel filter.
Before removing the fuel filter. to
prevent fuel leakage, place fuel hose
clamps on the fuel hoses at each side of
the fuel filter.
ARROW (Fuel Flow Direction)
2. Install the new fuel filter so the
arrow on the fuel filter points
toward the fuel pump.
Fuel flow will be reduced if the fuel
filter is installed backward.
3. Connect the fuel hoses to the fuel
filter securely with the hose clips.
Remove the fuel hose clamps used
to close the fuel hoses.
