Your new HOOVER DIAL-A MATIC is the most powerful up- right cleaner ever built. Proper suction control for your floor coverings is most important for cleaning effectiveness and ease of operation.

FIRST, set the dial between “MEDIUM” and “LOW”. This will be the correct setting for the majority of rug thicknesses.

For deep pile carpets, shag rugs, cotton rugs, or lightweight throw rugs, move the lever to- ward “LOW” if the cleaner does not push easily.

For low pile, sculptured, or multi-level rugs, it may be necessary to move the lever to- ward “HIGH”.

When you have the proper setting on the dial, your Hoover will push easily and clean thor - oughly.
