4. Connect the Network Cables

(page 5), from the network devices or your patch panels to the fixed
For deployment as a standalone RADIUS sever, or for the RADIUS server with IDM agent, insert the network cable in the LAN port (LAN Port 1) on the front of the box.

For deployment of the endpoint integrity features, connections will vary based on the deployment method you use. The network connection options are referenced on the front panel of the appliance, as shown in the figure above.
5. (Optional) Connect a Console to the Appliance
The ProCurve NAC 800 has an easy to use console interface for performing appliance management tasks including the following:
■Modify the appliance’s configuration to improve network security
■Read the event log and access diagnostic tools to help in troubleshooting
■Download new software to the appliance.
■Add passwords to control access to the ProCurve NAC 800 from the console, Web interface, and network management stations
