3.Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

4.Remove the battery (see Battery on page 34), and then remove the following components:

●Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 47)

●Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 53)

●Top cover (see Top cover on page 57)

●Speakers (see Speakers on page 65)

●USB board (see USB board on page 67)

●Power connector cable (see Power connector cable on page 69)

●Display assembly (see Display assembly on page 71)

●System board (see System board on page 81)

●Fan/heat sink assembly (see Fan/heat sink assembly on page 87)

To remove the processor:

1.Use a flat-bladed screw driver (1) to turn the processor locking screw one-half turn counterclockwise (2) until you hear a click.
