Removing a Diskette Drive

CAUTION All removable media should be taken out of a drive before removing the drive from the computer.

The diskette drive is located underneath the optical drive. You must remove the optical drive before removing the diskette drive.

1.Follow the procedure in the above section, Removing an Optical Drive, to remove the optical drive and access the diskette drive.

CAUTION Regardless of the power-on state, voltage is always present on the system board as long as the system is plugged into an active AC outlet. You must disconnect the power cord to avoid damage to the internal components of the computer.

2.Disconnect the data cable (1) and power cable (2) from the back of the drive.
