Components of HP Insight Dynamics

The Insight Dynamics software is installed on a Central Management Server (CMS) running HP SIM, which provides a browser-based user interface. A single CMS can be used to manage different types of systems. The software is installed on the CMS once, regardless of how many or what types of managed system licenses are purchased. The following CMS installations are supported:

Insight Dynamics can be installed on the following types of CMS running Microsoft Windows:

HP ProLiant server

HP BladeSystem c-Class ProLiant server blade

Virtual machine running under VMware ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V on HP ProLiant or supported non-HP server

On a CMS running Microsoft Windows, Insight Dynamics is installed as part of the Insight software family of products.
