MPE/iX Command Parameters

Some commands require or can accept parameters. P arameters giv en in command syntax can have two components:

Literal information that y ou must enter exactly as sho wn in documentation. For example, in the command

:SHOWJOB JOB=@J

JOB= is literal information.

User-supplied variable information that is speci￿c for the curren t invocation of the command. For example, in the command abo ve, @J is a user-supplied variable.
